Welcome to Kantoka! We are buzzing over our new site launch and sharing our platform with you.
As longtime lovers and consumers of cannabis, we want to see the legal industry grow, and most importantly, we want to see it grow good weed. Producers are starting to step up, craft is getting to roll out, and new products will be hitting the shelves into the new year. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start.
Let’s be real, a mature and viable industry existed long before legalization, and we need to bring that knowledge, passion, and quality to loyal consumers. We designed this platform to give everyone a voice, so that we can work towards a sustainable, legal market together.
Kantoka is derived from a Japanese word that means “something.” To us, Kantoka means something inclusive and community-driven. This is a place to learn, share, grow, and connect, regardless of your experience with cannabis.
Medical Consumers: Medical consumers and advocates paved the way for adult-use legalization, yet their needs have been largely overlooked in favour of the recreational market. As part of our commitment to serving the whole cannabis community, we will continue to add our voice to patient advocacy, connect patients with clinics and licensed producers, seek out affordable cannabis that does not compromise on quality, and provide relevant information on studies, breakthroughs, and news that can support the medical market.
Retailers: Legalization has been a slow jumping off point for licensed retailers, with different models being implemented across the country. As a consumer-focused platform, we will be listening to your wants and needs and helping direct you to the best products in your neighborhood based on reviews, retailer profiles, and curated shopping guides.
Products and Accessories: We love cannabis and we want to share our experiences with you, and also hear what you’re loving, loathing, and looking forward to. We’re constantly researching and testing the latest and greatest so we can help consumers make informed decisions. Look out for reviews from our team and well as our community.
Job Portal: Looking for a new gig? Cannabis legalization is injecting the opportunity for economic vitality in our country. We’re proud to support prospective employees and employers who are looking to build a thriving and sustainable industry together. So stay-tuned for more updates.
Brand Ambassador Program: Kantoka is meant to be something for everyone, and that means we want you on our team. We’re launching our brand ambassador program in early 2020, designed to build leadership experience as you engage and educate a broader audience. Details coming soon!
Early Adopters: Don’t have time to commit to our ambassador program? Sign up to our newsletter, gain first access to our marketplace, and learn how you can help with product testing and reviews.
Community Partnerships: We’re building a company to help us do the good work. Led by women and visible minorities, we understand the barriers and challenges that many individuals and groups face daily. Part of our mission is to create and support community initiatives so we can help build a better world, inspired by the healing nature of the plant.
